in October 2015, Terara visited the very handsome and delightful Ch Ridanflight Ricardo, resulting in two male pups born 20 December.  All things being equal and Mother Nature showing kindness, Bedeslea Howdy Doody (Dave) with owner, Jan Hayward (Braccanza) will grace the rings in 2016.

** Well done, HDD and Jan on qualifying for Crufts 2017!!  **
In March 2014, I travelled with Terara, Mini Wire-haired Dachshund, to the United States, where (in Portland, OR) she was mated to Ru Ch/Am Ch Magik Rainbow Lunny Svet (Parker James).  On 17 July, she produced two gorgeous boys - Charlibird Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
In December 2013, Ludo went to join the Braschini Spinoni in Philadelphia, USA for his retirement years.  Thanks to Ann and Karen, Ludo is living 'the life of Riley' as a part-time hunter and part-time sofa king!
In 2011, Terara the Miniature Wirehaired Dax came to live with me from Michael Lewis (Trixhund). Just love this little minx!

Congratulations to Vic Glazik and ShCh Bedeslea Daydream on their return to the show ring.  Thompson scared us all with a potential bloat episode at the end of 2011.  Trust Thommo an Vic to come back with gusto, winning the CC at Birmingham National - their sixth such award.  Well done and thankyou Team Thommo for continuing to fly the flag!

The long-awaited limited reprint of 'The Italian Spinone' book by Carolyn Fry is now available.

Ludo is once again the Top Field Trial Spinone - for the 2011/12 season.  Congratulations to owner/handler/trainer Rory Major of the famous Bryantscroft Kennels.

Ludo added three more awards to his impressive list, including being the 'highest placed dog in the awards' at an All Aged Stake.  Now 'in his prime', I look forward to the 12/13 season starting soon! L

Ludo is siring strong, typical puppies.  His most recent being via AI - a singleton pup to Utility Prize winner, Bria, owned by Karen Beyer and Ann Bagnell in PA.  'Fia' is now in the very capable hands of Lena Amirian.

Am GCh Italix Milena Olivia won Group Two at the Seattle Show in March 2011 under esteemed judge, Cindy Vogels.  Congratulations to handler Carmen, who stepped in to help out Miela's usual handler, Stacy Duncan, who was already committed to handling her Irish Water Spaniel 'Keegan' in the same group.  Keegan took the Group, with Miela in second place.  Her owners, Suzanne Hudson and Carolyn Fry are delighted with this lovely 'Sporting' win!

AmCh Italix Milena Olivia, crossed the pond to attend the Triennale Raduno at Castrocaro Terme, Emilia Romagna, Italy where she was graded 'eccelente' and took second place in the Champion Brown Roan Bitch Class behind a famous six year old Epithelium female.  Miela presented herself well and was much admired - she made her owners and breeder, Kay Holden, very proud!

Field Trial award-winning Bedeslea Tiger By The Tail at Bryantscroft stood alone in the FT Dog Class at Crufts, as the only male Spinone to gain awards for several seasons.

Ludo is the Top Field Trial Spinone in the 2010/11 season.  Congratulations to owner/handler/trainer Rory Major.

*** TOP FIELD TRIAL SPINONE 2010/11 SEASON ***

Another 4th Place in All-Aged Stakes
taken at the Dukeries Gundog Trial in January 2011.

Well done, Rory and Ludo!!!

Bedeslea Tiger by the Tail at Bryantscroft
was awarded fourth place in an All Aged Field Trial right at the beginning of the 10/11 season, making him the third FT award-winner for the kennel and the second for Rory in this breed. Ludo is brother to B. Trick O The Tail - sired by imported brown-roan Ludstar Callisto in Italix out of ShCh B. Brindisi.  We are so proud of this great team and wish them continued success throughout the season.  'Well done, Rory' and a very big 'Thank You'...

***Bedeslea Boscarelli With Jaspins ShCM now has SHOW TITLES IN FOUR COUNTRIES***

Zack recently took BOB in Liege at ten years of age, which entitles him to the International Champion title.  He is the first male UK Spinone to achieve this accolade.

Congratulations to Zack, Martin and Ann - I am so proud of you and what you have achieved for the breed!

Congratulations to Kelly Ditto and Bedeslea Brusco Romagno, who was awarded Puppy Group 4 on his first show outing!  Well done Kelly and Bertolli!

In the summer of 2010, Bedeslea Trick O The Tail was inseminated with frozen semen from two outstanding sires in the summer of 2010 - ShCh/AmCh Italix Massimiliano and ShCh Riccini Del Piero. Mother Nature was kind to us - we have potentially super Spinoni sired by both of these stunning males. Puppies were DNA-tested and we have ten beauties sired by Massimiliano and a single, gorgeous brown female sired by Del Piero.  All three dogs are tested clear of Cerebellar Ataxia.

Tica
, although lightly-shown due to my travel commitments, won well as a puppy in the UK, gained her Gibraltar Champion title and a number of Group 7 awards while in Spain.  She just requires a 'punto obligato' at the Madrid Show to gain her Spanish title.  She is undocked and therefore unlikely to enter the showring in the USA.

Tica descends from the Top Brood Bitch 2007, my ShCh Bedeslea Brindisi and Kay Holden's rustic, brown-roan male, Ludstar Callisto in Italix Imp It.  With her strong, shapely and square frame, her excellent coat and skin and a head and expression that epitomises the breed, we anticipate that the next generation will follow in the footsteps of their ancestors.  Take a look at the kennel's history within these pages.

Tica has a BVA/KC hip score of 20 and is CERF-tested clear.  Details of the two males can be found at www.italianspinone.co.uk and on the OFA website.
